This model engages with Paul Virilio's concept of 'Pure War' by symbolizing the idea that we are constantly at war, even when we aren't at war. This is shown in the model by the big cube which represents actual warfare, and the smaller cube represents 'pure war'. The arms that join the two cubes together are meant to symbolize the negativity of war fueling the ideas that create a 'pure war.'
