After a discussion with fellow students, i decided to further explore ways that a larger space could be created. The original pachube was designed to collect data on the number of people in a room, and make the floor glow in relation to this collected data.
Taking this concept and taking it one step further I plan to measure the number of people in a room and have the architecture move in relation to the collected data. I have decided to make the windows open and close as people enter/leave the house.
Each window will be given a threshold and will only open when the number of people in the house exceeds that threshold; likewise it will only close when the number of people in the house is lower than that threshold. As the collected data shows more people in the room, my house will open up windows and sunroofs to allow more natural light into the building, and make the architecture appear bigger.
